HiSoPo vous informe de l’ouverture d’un poste d’assistant professor en philosophie à la New School for Social Research à New York.


The New School for Social Research and Eugene Lang College of Liberal Arts in New York City seek applicants for a tenure-track appointment with the Department of Philosophy to begin Fall 2017. The areas of specialization are Philosophy of Race and Racism/Postcolonialism and/or Critical Environmental Studies. We are searching for an outstanding philosopher whose research interests will support and harmonize with the traditional research strengths of the NSSR Philosophy Department: Modern European Philosophy, History of Modern Philosophy, Ancient Philosophy, Social and Political Philosophy.

The successful applicant must have a significant record of research excellence, as well as a demonstrated commitment to quality undergraduate and graduate teaching. Our teaching load is the equivalent of five courses per year which consists of four classroom courses, two undergraduate, two graduate, with the usual non-teaching duties; the fifth course is comprised of dissertation supervision. Salary competitive.
